About the role
The Hathershaw College is looking for a passionate Modern Foreign Languages (French) Teacher to join its supportive team. You will deliver high‑quality French lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 learners, inspire a love of language, and help raise achievement across the department.
Key responsibilities
- Teach French to KS3 and KS4 students, adapting lessons for all abilities.
- Design and deliver engaging, standards‑aligned lessons.
- Contribute to the development and review of the MFL curriculum.
- Participate in enrichment activities, trips and wider college life.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessment.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it.
- Strong subject knowledge of French language and culture.
- Commitment to high standards of teaching and student progress.
- Excellent classroom management and organisational abilities.
- Dedication to inclusion, safeguarding and student wellbeing.
