Modern Foreign Languages (French) Teacher – Full‑Time

About the role

The Hathershaw College is looking for a passionate Modern Foreign Languages (French) Teacher to join its supportive team. You will deliver high‑quality French lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 learners, inspire a love of language, and help raise achievement across the department.

Key responsibilities

• Teach French to KS3 and KS4 students, adapting lessons for all abilities.
• Design and deliver engaging, standards‑aligned lessons.
• Contribute to the development and review of the MFL curriculum.
• Participate in enrichment activities, trips and wider college life.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessment.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it.
• Strong subject knowledge of French language and culture.
• Commitment to high standards of teaching and student progress.
• Excellent classroom management and organisational abilities.
• Dedication to inclusion, safeguarding and student wellbeing.
