Mortgage Completions Officer – BTL Specialist

About the role

The Mortgage Completions Officer will manage buy‑to‑let mortgage applications from the formal offer stage through to legal completion and fund release. You will act as the central liaison between underwriters, solicitors, brokers and landlords to ensure a smooth, compliant completion process.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a pipeline of BTL mortgage offers from issuance to final drawdown, tracking critical dates to avoid expiries.
• Maintain real‑time case notes and status updates across internal systems.
• Review and sign off Certificates of Title received from conveyancing solicitors.
• Verify complex property structures (HMOs, multi‑unit freehold blocks, limited company setups) meet specific offer conditions.
• Audit files to ensure all underwriting special conditions are satisfied before funding.
• Conduct mandatory Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) checks on all parties.

Required profile

• Experience in buy‑to‑let mortgage processing and completion.
• Strong understanding of legal and regulatory requirements for property finance.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Effective communication with underwriters, solicitors, brokers and landlords.

Required skills

• Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) compliance checks.
• Know Your Customer (KYC) verification.
