MOT Tester – Full‑time at Halfords, Croydon

About the role

We are looking for a qualified MOT Tester to join Halfords in Croydon. You will work five days a week performing MOT tests and supporting the workshop with light vehicle maintenance when not testing.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out MOT tests in line with UK regulations and complete associated paperwork.
• Ensure vehicles meet safety and emissions standards before release.
• Assist the workshop team with routine light‑vehicle maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to a safe, efficient service environment.

Required profile

• Current MOT Testing Licence (or be a mechanic/technician willing to upskill).
• Full UK driving licence with no more than nine penalty points.
• Team‑oriented attitude and willingness to support workshop activities.
