Multi Skilled Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Multi‑Skilled Engineer to join a leading UK food manufacturer in Worcester. The role offers a competitive salary, pension, overtime and the chance to work with advanced automated equipment in a fast‑growing FMCG environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot automated machinery, including Turbo Systems servo‑driven depositors and three‑axis robotic arms.
• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance (PPM) on packaging lines, palletising systems, conveyors and ovens.
• Diagnose PLC‑controlled equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Document maintenance activities and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Completed a full apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Experience working in a food/FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and PLC programs.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive attitude towards maintenance.
