Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Multi‑Skilled Shift Engineer with a strong electrical focus to join a large‑scale FMCG manufacturing site in Blackpool. The role works on a rotating 28‑day shift pattern, combining 12‑hour day and night shifts, and offers the chance to work with a wide range of modern production equipment while developing a long‑term engineering career.

Key responsibilities

• Support a high‑volume manufacturing operation as part of a skilled engineering team.
• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and automation systems across the site.
• Ensure operational excellence and compliance with health & safety standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects and engineering best practice.
• Collaborate with production teams to minimise downtime and optimise equipment performance.

Required profile

• Recognised engineering qualification (e.g., BEng, HND) – apprenticeship or equivalent experience welcomed.
• Experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing, industrial or FMCG environment.
• Strong interest in engineering excellence, problem‑solving and continuous improvement.
• Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
