Multi‑Skilled Electrical Engineer – Food Production

About the role

We are seeking a Multi‑Skilled Engineer with an electrical focus to join the engineering team at Ambrosia Creamery in Lifton, Devon. The role is essential for keeping our food‑processing, filling and packing lines running efficiently and delivering our iconic products to millions of customers.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and prevent equipment faults to minimise downtime.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on food‑process, filling and packing machinery.
• Use Siemens PLC expertise for programming, troubleshooting and fault‑finding.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives to boost reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe, high‑performing work environment.

Required profile

• Qualified Electrical Engineer (NVQ Level 3, HNC or equivalent).
• Proven experience with Siemens PLCs and fault diagnosis.
• Proactive, flexible approach with ability to work a rotating 4‑on/4‑off shift pattern.
• Familiarity with process controls and instrumentation is desirable.
