Multi‑Skilled Electrician – Facilities Maintenance

About the role

Veolia is seeking a Multi‑Skilled Electrician to join its Facilities Maintenance team, covering Chichester and surrounding areas. You will work 40 hours per week across rotating shifts, providing essential electrical and building services while supporting the company’s commitment to sustainable resource management.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, test, maintain and repair building fabric, boilers and electrical systems.
• Carry out fault finding and repair on electrical installations.
• Perform daily meter readings, security checks and update the Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedule.
• Supervise and liaise with external contractors.
• Respond to emergency call‑outs within a 30‑minute contractual deadline, including out‑of‑hours and weekend rota.

Required profile

• City & Guilds qualified electrician with proven maintenance experience.
• Willingness and ability to meet 30‑minute call‑out response times.
• Basic plumbing knowledge and exposure to commercial building upkeep.
• Commitment to complete an inspection & testing qualification within the first year (funded by Veolia).
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety, preferably IOSH Managing Safety.
