Multi‑Skilled Plumber & Fabric Engineer

About the role

Join the Core Contracts Team in Bristol to deliver planned, reactive and remedial repairs across a range of facilities. You will use your plumbing expertise and fabric‑engineering knowledge to resolve technical issues, source parts and keep clients fully informed.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out plumbing and fabric‑related repairs, ensuring work meets contract specifications and current regulations.
• Diagnose and solve complex technical problems, sourcing parts and obtaining manufacturer support when needed.
• Provide detailed written reports of completed works to keep clients updated.
• Record activities, maintain operation logs and follow risk‑assessment procedures for each task.
• Use PDAs or tablets to log job information and liaise closely with the Helpdesk, working independently or as part of a team.
• Maintain the highest health‑and‑safety standards, performing point‑of‑work risk assessments for every job.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification – preferably NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing.
• Minimum three years’ experience in building maintenance, focusing on reactive and remedial tasks.
• General knowledge of building systems with an emphasis on carpentry work.
• Good IT skills and comfort using a tablet to update job information.
• Full UK driver’s licence.

• Use of tablets/electronic devices for job logging.
• Asbestos awareness (UKATA) – desirable.
• CSR/CSCS health‑and‑safety qualification – desirable.
