National Account Controller

About the role

As a National Account Controller you will own the strategic relationship with multiple grocery and discount customers, driving volume, revenue, profitability and satisfaction across the UK dairy portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Own the strategic relationship of multiple customers, delivering against volume, revenue, profitability and customer satisfaction targets.
• Lead the development and execution of customer business plans aligned to both Müller and customer priorities.
• Take full accountability for the customer P&L, driving sustainable profitability and identifying growth opportunities.
• Lead key negotiations, tenders and commercial agreements, delivering mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Drive cross‑functional collaboration across Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing and Category teams.
• Use data, insight and market understanding to shape strategy and influence decision‑making.
• Lead and develop a team, fostering a culture of accountability, growth and continuous improvement.
• Act as a trusted deputy to the Business Unit Head, stepping into broader leadership responsibilities when required.

Required profile

• Significant experience managing major customers within an FMCG environment.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with a proven track record of delivering P&L, volume and profit targets, including open‑book commercial models.
• Experience leading customer negotiations and developing strategic partnerships.
• Confident and influential stakeholder manager capable of building credibility at all levels.
• Proven people‑leadership experience with a passion for developing talent.
• Strong analytical capability to turn data into actionable insight.
• Proactive, resilient and commercially curious mindset.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility for UK travel.
