National Business Development Manager - Surgical Technology

About the role

This national, field‑based position will launch a new surgical technology product across the UK. You will drive direct sales, build clinical relationships, and help shape the go‑to‑market strategy for a fast‑growing medical device business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead direct sales to anaesthetists, operating‑room teams and critical‑care departments in NHS and private hospitals.
• Develop and execute a targeted sales strategy supported by internal admin and marketing.
• Provide market feedback and competitor insights to refine product positioning.
• Represent the company at clinical meetings, product demos and industry events.
• Collaborate with leadership on future team structure and growth plans.
• Contribute to the launch of additional surgical and airway‑related product lines.
• Potentially hire and lead a UK sales team as the business scales.

Required profile

• Commercially driven sales professional with strong clinical credibility.
• Proven track record selling surgical or airway‑related technologies into operating theatres or critical‑care environments.
• Extensive network within anaesthesia and surgical teams.
• Entrepreneurial mindset suited to a small, fast‑growing company.
• Ability to work independently and travel nationally.
