NEC Supervisor for Large-Scale Construction Projects

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced NEC Supervisor to support the delivery of large‑scale construction and manufacturing programmes in Sheffield. You will work on‑site, providing independent oversight of works, ensuring compliance with contract specifications and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver NEC Supervisor services as defined in the NEC3 ECC, reporting to the relevant Project Lead.
• Maintain a regular on‑site presence to scrutinise works, verify material use and standards.
• Identify and mitigate potential issues before they arise and manage any defects that occur.
• Witness testing, attend progress meetings and issue contract‑required communications.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager, providing timely updates on observations and risks.
• Keep contemporary records of all site observations and defect reports.

Required profile

• NEC Supervisor or NEC Project Manager accreditation.
• Relevant construction degree or equivalent qualification.
• Proven construction experience with a solid understanding of construction methods.
• Commitment to service excellence and delivery to agreed quality standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a large project team.

Required skills

• NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC) knowledge.
• Familiarity with NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC) – beneficial.
• Use of digital systems for accessing project information and recording defects.
