Network & Security Engineer

About the role

Stats Perform is seeking a motivated Network & Security Engineer to join its network team. You will support day‑to‑day network operations and lead device implementations, rollouts, and maintenance across enterprise and data‑center environments.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers to produce low‑level designs, network diagrams and technical documentation.
• Review and improve existing topologies, identify single points of failure and integrate resilient solutions.
• Execute end‑to‑end network lifecycle tasks including BAU support, configuration changes, hardware provisioning, rack‑and‑stack, commissioning and migrations.
• Contribute to network automation and infrastructure‑as‑code frameworks.
• Provide tier‑3 troubleshooting, packet analysis and participate in on‑call rotation following ITIL standards.

Required profile

• Solid hands‑on experience with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, PBR, VRF) and switching architectures (VPC, STP, 802.1Q), especially Cisco Nexus switches.
• Operational knowledge of multicast (PIM, IGMP) and network security using FortiGate firewalls and IPsec VPNs.
• Practical experience with load‑balancing/ADC solutions such as F5 BIG‑IP.
• Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) and version control (Git).
• Proven troubleshooting skills with packet capture, traffic analysis and monitoring tools like Zabbix or SolarWinds.
