Network Security Solutions Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Security Solutions Engineer to lead network and security projects for our clients across the UK. The role focuses on Cisco security technologies, with opportunities to work with Fortinet solutions and to develop towards a technical security lead position.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and handover of network and security projects.
• Act as the primary engineer on complex customer engagements, ensuring timely delivery.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to fellow engineers.
• Deploy, configure and troubleshoot Cisco Firepower firewalls, including policies, VPNs and threat protection.
• Implement and maintain Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for access control.
• Utilise Cisco Stealthwatch and related tools for monitoring and threat detection.
• Configure and support FortiGate firewalls where required.
• Produce high‑quality technical documentation and handover materials.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers throughout project lifecycles.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Cisco security products, especially Firepower and ISE.
• Strong understanding of network security concepts and VPN technologies.
• Ability to work independently in a remote UK‑based role.
• Full right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
• Willingness to pursue further certifications and training.
