Our client is seeking a newly qualified solicitor to join a dynamic criminal defence team in Brixton, London. This position offers early responsibility and the chance to develop hands‑on advocacy skills across a broad spectrum of criminal cases.

Key responsibilities

• Represent clients at police stations and in custody.
• Conduct criminal advocacy and attend court hearings.
• Manage a caseload of defence matters under supervision while maintaining high client‑care standards.
• Assist senior solicitors with complex criminal matters.
• Contribute to the firm’s service excellence and client satisfaction.

Required profile

• Newly qualified solicitor with practical criminal advocacy experience.
• Confident handling client matters independently at police stations.
• Strong communication, organisational and client‑care abilities.
• Proactive, motivated and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Eager to build a career and take on responsibility early.
