Night Assistant – 4 nights on/4 nights off

About the role

We are seeking a Night Assistant to join our team at Riverside Group’s Hackney Young People Service. Working on a 4‑nights‑on, 4‑nights‑off pattern, you will help keep the building safe and provide high‑quality support to customers during night hours.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor security, fire and telephone systems throughout the night.
• Perform regular safety checks of the property and report any repairs or maintenance issues.
• Clean communal areas and rooms as required to maintain a tidy environment.
• Ensure the safety, security and well‑being of all customers using the service.
• Work collaboratively with the night team while often working alone.

Required profile

• Experience working with vulnerable client groups.
• Ability to work independently during night shifts.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and willingness to learn Riverside‑specific IT systems.
• Legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
