Night HGV Class 1 Driver

About the role

We are seeking reliable HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers to work night shifts from Monday to Friday in Colchester. The role offers a consistent, well‑paid schedule delivering goods safely during overnight hours.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure safety and roadworthiness.
• Arrive on time for each shift and report any issues to the traffic office.
• Follow company procedures, customer requirements and the Highway Code.
• Complete scheduled deliveries and collections throughout the night.
• Maintain compliance with EU tachograph and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Keep the vehicle clean, tidy and well maintained.

Required profile

• Valid LGV C+E (Class 1) licence.
• Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC).
• Valid digital tachograph card.
• ADR certification.
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude.

Required skills

• Safe night‑time driving.
• Knowledge of Highway Code and transport regulations.
