Night HGV Class 1 Truck Driver – Portsmouth

About the role

We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 driver to join our night haulage team in Portsmouth. The role involves operating articulated vehicles on night shifts across the UK, delivering and collecting goods while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1 (C+E) articulated trucks for general haulage on night routes.
• Complete all paperwork and electronic records accurately and on time.
• Maintain records of breaks and working hours in line with the Working Time Directive.
• Follow agency and client policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Communicate with customers, clients, and operations teams to ensure smooth deliveries.
• Deliver assignments efficiently within required timeframes.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence with a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• DP World Card and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 penalty points on the licence.
• Minimum of 1 year experience driving HGV Class 1 vehicles.
• Good knowledge of the UK motorway network and Working Time Directive regulations.
