Night Nurse RGN

About the role

As a Night Registered Nurse (RGN) in a Barchester care home, you will provide 24‑hour nursing care to residents, addressing their physical, psychological and social needs. You will work independently to create a safe, supportive environment and use professional judgement for critical clinical decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement personalised care plans for each resident.
• Administer medication safely and accurately during night shifts.
• Conduct risk assessments and monitor residents’ health status.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality care.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
• Demonstrated experience in producing care plans and risk assessments.
• Knowledge of DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines.
• Compassionate, person‑centred approach to nursing.
