Night Shift Machine Operator – 4 on/4 off

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Machine Operator to work the night shift on a 4‑on/4‑off roster at a well‑established manufacturing site in Maldon. The role involves maintaining equipment, supporting production flow, and upholding the highest safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform selected preventive maintenance (PM) tasks and support machine reliability.
• Promote a strong safety culture: complete risk assessments, report incidents, follow PPE, LOTO and knife‑safety procedures, and take part in 6S inspections.
• Ensure product quality by using calibrated equipment, assisting SOP development, conducting product testing, and managing questionable stock.
• Communicate with the supply chain for material replenishment, report material usage, and maintain visual management boards for smooth shift handovers.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• FLT (forklift) licence preferred.
• Strong knowledge of production processes and basic computer literacy.
• Excellent communication, teamwork orientation and leadership potential.
• Willingness to work night shifts and occasional weekends.
