Night Shift Retail Shift Manager

About the role

As a Night Shift Retail Shift Manager at Lidl, you will lead the store team during the 10 pm‑6 am shift, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service. You will act as the key point of contact in the absence of the Store Manager and Deputy Store Manager, driving performance throughout the night.

Key responsibilities

• Motivate, support and develop a team of retail staff during night hours.
• Delegate tasks, solve problems quickly and maintain high store standards.
• Oversee freshness, cash handling, inventory and stock management to keep the shift running efficiently.
• Deliver a consistent, high‑quality shopping experience for customers.
• Manage store operations and staff in the absence of senior managers.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a sizeable team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to delegate effectively and keep calm under pressure.
• Friendly, patient demeanor with strong communication skills.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to help colleagues develop.

• Hourly pay £15.45‑£19.45 plus £2.00 extra for bank holidays and £3.50 for night shifts.
