Night Support Worker – Children’s Home (Westbury)

About the role
As a Night Support Worker you will provide 24‑hour care for young people living in our children’s homes. Working a 4‑on/4‑off night rota, you will be the first point of contact when residents need help during the night, helping them feel safe and supported.
Key responsibilities
- Respond promptly to any resident who wakes upset, ill, or experiencing trauma.
- Maintain a safe and calm environment throughout the night.
- Complete paperwork, cleaning and laundry duties during quieter periods.
- Build trusting relationships with residents to encourage positive behaviour and emotional growth.
- Document incidents and hand over relevant information to day‑time staff.
Required profile
- Genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people.
- Ability to work night shifts on a rotating schedule.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Resilience and capacity to manage stressful situations.
- Commitment to following safeguarding and health‑and‑safety procedures.
Required skills
What we offer
- Base salary £32,849 – £35,896 per annum (good attendance assumed).
- Attendance allowance £1,400, regional allowance £2,000, welcome bonus £1,000, loyalty bonus £1,000.
