About the role

Vivid Healthcare is seeking an experienced Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) to provide essential summer rota cover for approximately 12 weeks at One Recovery Bucks in Aylesbury. This temporary position offers the chance to work within a supportive recovery service, delivering high‑quality care to individuals accessing addiction and recovery support.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake comprehensive assessments and reviews of service users.
• Safely prescribe medication within your scope of practice and professional competence.
• Support the management of substance misuse and recovery treatment plans.
• Review medication effectiveness, risks, and ongoing clinical needs.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with relevant policies and guidelines.
• Provide safe, evidence‑based interventions to support recovery pathways.

Required profile

• Registered healthcare professional with a current NMP qualification.
• Active professional registration with a relevant regulatory body (e.g., NMC, HCPC).
• Previous experience in substance misuse, addiction services, mental health, or a related clinical setting.
• Strong clinical assessment and prescribing skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a wider team.
