Non‑Emergency Ambulance Driver – Patient Transport

About the role
Join a trusted independent ambulance service delivering compassionate patient transport across South England. As a Non‑Emergency Ambulance Driver you will combine safe driving with caring support, helping vulnerable patients reach hospitals, clinics and other healthcare appointments.
Key responsibilities
- Transport patients safely to and from medical facilities and appointments.
- Provide reassurance, assistance and high‑quality customer care throughout each journey.
- Help patients get in and out of the ambulance respectfully and safely.
- Maintain accurate journey records and keep the vehicle clean and ready for service.
- Respond calmly to any medical situation that may arise while on duty.
- Work independently while staying in regular contact with the operations team.
Required profile
- Genuine desire to help people and support vulnerable individuals.
- Calm under pressure with a professional attitude.
- Ability to work 8‑12 hour shifts on a 5‑days‑on/2‑days‑off pattern.
- Valid UK driving licence appropriate for ambulance vehicles.
Required skills
- Safe and confident driving of a large vehicle.
- Basic record‑keeping and documentation skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.

- £13.00 per hour plus overtime (OTE around £38,000 per year).
