NQ Employment Solicitor – Orpington

About the role

We are partnering with a forward‑thinking law firm that is expanding its Employment department. This full‑time position is ideal for a newly qualified (NQ) solicitor who wants to develop a solid foundation in employment law while working alongside experienced partners and senior solicitors.

Key responsibilities

• Advise both employers and employees on a wide range of employment matters.
• Handle Employment Tribunal cases and related litigation.
• Draft and negotiate settlement agreements and TUPE arrangements.
• Conduct mediation sessions and support dispute resolution.
• Develop and review employment policies, procedures and general employment advice.

Required profile

• Newly qualified or about to qualify in employment law.
• Commercially minded, client‑focused and enthusiastic.
• Strong communicator and effective team player.
• Keen to learn, develop and build a long‑term career in a supportive environment.

Required skills

• Understanding of employment legislation and tribunal processes.
• Ability to draft settlement agreements, TUPE documentation and employment policies.
• Negotiation and mediation skills.
