Nurse Functional Assessor – Barrow-in-Furness

About the role

As a Nurse Functional Assessor at Maximus you will use your clinical expertise to understand how a person’s disability or health condition impacts their daily life. You will work on complex cases involving physical and mental health conditions and chronic pain disorders, helping customers move forward with tailored support.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the functional abilities of customers with physical, mental health, or chronic pain conditions.
• Produce detailed reports outlining how health conditions affect daily activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop appropriate support plans.
• Participate in a tailored training programme and receive ongoing mentorship.

Required profile

• Valid NMC registration number.
• At least 1 year of post‑registration adult or mental health nursing experience, within or outside the NHS.
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer software for report writing.
