Observability Architect – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

We are seeking an Observability Architect to lead the assessment, design and optimisation of the observability strategy for a co‑location migration programme. You will ensure that logging, metrics, tracing, alerting and operational dashboards provide comprehensive visibility across the new infrastructure and application estate, minimising operational risk.

Key responsibilities

• Lead assessment, design and optimisation of the observability strategy for the co‑location migration programme.
• Review current observability architecture across infrastructure, networks, middleware, databases and applications.
• Analyse telemetry and monitoring data to establish performance baselines for migration waves.
• Identify gaps in logging, metrics, tracing and alerting and recommend tooling or process enhancements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure dashboards provide comprehensive visibility and minimise operational risk.

• Proven experience delivering observability solutions for complex, tightly‑coupled platforms.

Required skills

• Observability concepts: logging, metrics, distributed tracing, alerting and dashboarding.
