Occupational Therapist – Mental Health Service (Sept Start)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a specialist mental health service in Barnet, Hertfordshire, starting in September. This locum position offers the chance to work with adults who have complex needs, delivering high‑quality assessments and therapeutic interventions within a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and produce individualised treatment plans.
• Support service users in developing skills, independence and meaningful daily routines.
• Collaborate closely with psychologists, nurses, social workers and other professionals to achieve positive clinical outcomes.
• Provide evidence‑based interventions and uphold high standards of clinical practice.

Required profile

• HCPC‑registered Occupational Therapist.
• Previous experience working in mental health settings.
• Strong assessment and report‑writing abilities.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
