Occupational Therapist – School Based

About the role
We are looking for a passionate Occupational Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team in a specialist school in Hambridge. You will help children and young people develop the skills they need to succeed in the classroom and beyond.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct occupational therapy assessments and create individualized treatment plans.
- Deliver direct and indirect therapeutic interventions focusing on sensory integration, fine motor skills, self‑care, emotional regulation and functional independence.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, parents and external professionals.
- Provide training and guidance to school staff on therapeutic strategies.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and annual reviews.
Required profile
- Recognised degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience working with children and young people, preferably in education, SEND or specialist settings.
- Strong assessment, communication and report‑writing abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
