Occupational Therapist – SEN/SEMH Schools (Basingstoke)

About the role
We are seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to join a thriving trust of SEN/SEMH schools in Basingstoke. You will work across primary and secondary settings, supporting pupils with autism, SEMH needs and complex behavioural presentations.
Key responsibilities
- Assess pupils' sensory processing, motor skills, functional abilities and participation in school activities.
- Develop and implement individualised intervention programmes.
- Provide practical strategies and training to teachers and support staff.
- Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), reports and annual reviews.
- Promote inclusive practice to enable pupils to achieve their full potential.
Required profile
- HCPC‑registered Occupational Therapist.
- Passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people.
- Experience in paediatrics, education or working with autism/SEMH (desirable).
- Confident working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication, assessment and report‑writing abilities.
