Occupational Therapist – Stroke Rehabilitation (Brentwood)

About the role

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join a ward‑based team in Brentwood, Essex. The role is 22.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and focuses on stroke rehabilitation for in‑patients and post‑discharge patients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of stroke patients, delivering comprehensive OT assessments.
• Set person‑centred goals and provide evidence‑based interventions.
• Monitor and review treatment plans, supporting discharge planning.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary stroke rehabilitation team, reablement services and voluntary sector partners.
• Maintain accurate clinical records in line with HCPC standards.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of stroke rehabilitation, neuro‑anatomy and cognitive/functional impairments.
• Familiarity with Royal College of Physicians and NICE clinical guidelines.
• HCPC registration and ability to work within interdisciplinary practices.
• Commitment to high‑quality record keeping and continuous professional development.
