About the role

This part‑time, temporary position offers the chance to work closely with young learners in Clacton‑on‑Sea, delivering personalised one‑to‑one tutoring sessions. You will help re‑engage students in education, rebuild confidence and support their individual learning needs.

Key responsibilities

Plan and deliver tailored tutoring sessions for each student.
Assess progress and adapt teaching methods to suit individual needs.
Provide constructive feedback and encourage a positive learning attitude.
Collaborate with parents or guardians when necessary to support student development.

Required profile

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching/tutoring experience.
Experience in UK classroom teaching or private tutoring.
Ability to work with SEND or disengaged pupils.
Patience, resilience and a creative, flexible approach to teaching.

Required skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Adaptability to varied learning styles and challenging situations.
Organisational skills for planning personalised sessions.
