Operational Finance Manager

About the role

We are partnering with a specialist mortgage lender that is bringing its mortgage servicing and operational finance function in‑house. As the first hire for this brand‑new internal team, you will build the function from the ground up, ensuring robust cash management, reconciliations and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Own mortgage cash management and daily reconciliations.
• Produce ETB reporting, funder reporting packs and provide audit support.
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation differences while maintaining strong financial governance.
• Design, embed and continuously improve processes, controls and reporting frameworks.
• Work closely with funding partners and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy and transparency.
• Balance day‑to‑day operational delivery with the strategic build‑out of the function.

Required profile

• Experience in operational finance, loan servicing or a mortgage lending environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain rigorous audit trails.
• Self‑starter mindset with the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced setting.
