Operations & IT Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Operations & IT Manager to lead both operational and technology functions for an international non‑profit organisation. The role combines strategic leadership, digital transformation, and cybersecurity oversight for a globally distributed workforce, while working primarily remotely with occasional travel to the London office.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the Operations and IT functions across the organisation.
• Line‑manage the IT Officer and develop operational and IT plans, priorities, and performance metrics.
• Drive digital transformation initiatives and strategic technology improvements.
• Oversee Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Azure and other organisational systems.
• Ensure robust cybersecurity, data protection, disaster recovery and business continuity arrangements.
• Manage technology infrastructure, software platforms and external suppliers.
• Develop and review operational and IT policies, including AI and social media governance.
• Lead systems integration across HR, Finance, Programme and Grants functions.
• Oversee equipment and asset management for a remote global workforce.
• Support risk management and continuous improvement activities.

Required profile

• Significant experience in the non‑profit or international charity sector.
• Management‑level experience overseeing both operational and IT functions.
• Strong understanding of modern business systems and infrastructure.
• Experience with technical support and IT operations.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity risks, controls and best practices.
• Ability to work across multiple countries, cultures and time zones.
