Operations Manager – Commercial Insurance

About the role

We are supporting a well‑established, fast‑growing independent insurance brokerage that aims to reach £100m turnover. The Operations Manager will work closely with senior leadership to drive operational efficiency, support the broking team and act as the central point for technical expertise and systems oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations across the broking function.
• Provide technical support and guidance to Account Handlers and Executives.
• Act as a “super user” for Acturis, driving best practice and efficiencies.
• Identify and implement process improvements across the business.
• Support leadership with strategic and operational initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong operational and technical experience within an insurance brokerage.
• Natural problem‑solver with a hands‑on, detail‑oriented approach.
• Confident, approachable and collaborative with strong relationship‑building skills.
• Resilient and dependable – a go‑to person for the team.
• Organised, pragmatic and comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Acturis (essential).
