Operations Officer

About the role

Alpha Bank London is seeking an Operations Officer to provide high‑quality operational support for customer, loan and deposit activities. You will work closely with the Customer, Loan & Operations Deposit Lead, ensuring accurate record‑keeping and smooth processing of mortgage and loan transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Handle routine account queries, opening, maintenance, closing, payments and loan processing.
• Escalate complex enquiries to subject‑matter experts.
• Review own work for completeness and correct discrepancies.
• Perform data entry, extraction, verification and collection in line with departmental procedures.
• Champion and implement process improvements.
• Administer mortgage accounts throughout the post‑completion lifecycle, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulations.
• Maintain and update customer and loan data across core banking and workflow systems.
• Execute daily mortgage servicing tasks such as rate changes, payment adjustments, fees and interest recalculations.
• Produce and verify customer correspondence and statements for accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Previous experience in banking or financial services operations, particularly with home loans or mortgages.
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Adaptable and proactive when facing challenges.
