Operations Supervisor – Modular Accommodation

About the role

Balfour Beatty is looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead the safe installation and removal of modular accommodation units on active construction sites across the UK. You will work closely with the Senior Operations Manager, ensuring projects are delivered to high standards while maintaining strong relationships with customers, subcontractors and site teams.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise subcontractors on site and deliver daily task and safety briefings.
• Implement risk assessments and method statements.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, housekeeping and quality of installations.
• Monitor and report on installation quality and site performance.
• Build strong relationships with site teams, customers and other stakeholders.
• Report hazards, near‑misses and unsafe behaviours.
• Ensure compliance with Balfour Beatty policies and Code of Conduct.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of site experience, preferably in modular or construction environments.
• Strong health and safety knowledge.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.

Required skills

• CSCS Supervisor or Manager’s Card.
• SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
• CPCS Lift Supervisor / Appointed Person (Blue Card) – desirable.
• Slinger Signaller qualification – desirable.
• NVQ Level 4 in Construction Site Supervision – desirable.
