Optical Business Development Executive

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Optical Business Development Executive to grow our presence across the South of England. Working with independent optical practices, you will use a consultative, relationship‑led approach to drive sales of premium ophthalmic lens products and support the growth of our partner businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop a portfolio of independent optical accounts across the South.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities through networking, prospecting and lead generation.
• Build long‑term relationships with practice owners and key decision‑makers.
• Deliver tailored commercial solutions and drive sales of premium ophthalmic lens products.
• Develop and implement territory plans, promotions and sales initiatives.
• Maintain an accurate customer pipeline and prospect database.
• Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
• Plan and manage your own diary and territory effectively.

Required profile

• Qualified Dispensing Optician with experience in an independent optical practice.
• Commercially minded with a genuine interest in business development.
• Strong relationship‑building and communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, organised and results‑driven.
• Full UK driving licence.
