Optometrist – Full‑time in Eastbourne

About the role
As an Optometrist at ASDA in Eastbourne you will deliver high‑quality eye care to our customers, supporting NHS contracts and helping patients manage minor eye conditions. You will work within a busy retail optical department, combining clinical expertise with a focus on customer experience.
Key responsibilities
- Screen and assess patients for a range of eye conditions.
- Coach and train the wider optical team to maintain departmental standards.
- Develop and introduce new patient services in line with evolving eye‑care needs.
- Collaborate with the Optical Manager and regional teams for clinical and service support.
- Participate in a structured CPD programme and pursue further accreditations funded by ASDA.
Required profile
- Fully qualified optometrist registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
- Registered performer with the local NHS area team or health board.
- Accredited (or willing to become accredited within 12 months) in MECs or WECs, with funding support.
- On track to meet statutory CPD points requirements.
- Passionate about delivering a memorable customer experience.
