Paralegal – Criminal Law Team

About the role

Join a respected criminal law team as a Paralegal, supporting police station matters and providing vital assistance to clients during challenging times. This full‑time position offers hands‑on experience alongside seasoned solicitors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage police station files and coordinate with police forces, coroners and external stakeholders.
• Provide initial telephone advice and support to clients.
• Gather information, prepare documentation and submit legal aid and funding applications accurately and on time.
• Support lawyers with case preparation, administration and record‑keeping.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and contribute to team efficiency through effective organisation and communication.

Required profile

• Previous experience in paralegal or legal administration roles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive attitude with a genuine interest in criminal law.
• Confidence in building relationships with clients and external contacts.
