Paralegal - Transactional Shipping

About the role

This full‑time position offers a hands‑on opportunity within a leading international law firm’s Transactional Shipping team. You will work closely with the Completion Services team, supporting high‑value international shipping and finance transactions while gaining exposure to global clients.

Key responsibilities

• Draft transaction and completion documents.
• Assist with KYC and due diligence processes.
• Coordinate transaction completions and closing meetings.
• Arrange payment releases and liaise with banks, clients and international registries.
• Prepare transaction bibles and related completion documentation.
• Support the wider Transactional Shipping team on various matters.

Required profile

• LLB or GDL qualification.
• Strong academic record (2:1 or above preferred).
• Previous law‑firm experience (desirable).
• Excellent organisation, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with international clients.
• Proactive, team‑focused attitude.
• Foreign language skills are a bonus.
