Paraplanner – Financial Planning Role in Birmingham

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Paraplanner to join a fast‑growing financial services firm in Birmingham. You will work closely with Financial Planners to produce high‑quality advice documentation and support the delivery of excellent client outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Draft suitability reports under guidance and ensure accuracy.
• Liaise with Financial Planners to gather and verify information for advice.
• Interpret adviser meeting notes and prepare appropriate recommendations.
• Provide technical guidance to advisers to help achieve good consumer outcomes.
• Conduct research, maintain compliance, and keep casework records up to date.
• Meet output targets for advice documents and manage a personal caseload efficiently.
• Gather and analyse policy data, produce illustrations and supporting documents.
• Assist with processing new business and support the wider team.

Required profile

• Experience in a Paraplanning role within a similar environment.
• Proficiency with IT systems used in financial planning.
• Diploma in Financial Planning.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage workload and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical mind and excellent attention to detail.
• Team player with a willingness to learn new skills.
