Paraplanner – Financial Planning Role in Edinburgh

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Paraplanner to join a collaborative, client‑focused financial planning team in Edinburgh. You will support advisers by producing high‑quality, compliant suitability reports and delivering tailored financial recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare compliant suitability reports for client portfolios.
• Conduct technical research on pensions, investments, protection and tax planning.
• Develop cash‑flow models to support financial recommendations.
• Assist advisers in creating personalised financial plans.
• Contribute to process‑improvement initiatives and business projects.

Required profile

• Previous paraplanning experience within financial services.
• Proven ability to write compliant suitability reports.
• Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, protection and tax planning.
• Good understanding of FCA regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and written communication skills.
• Diploma in Financial Planning (Level 4) or working towards the qualification.
