Paraplanner – Financial Planning Support

About the role

Our client, a leading Independent Financial Advice practice operating across East Anglia, is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join their supportive administration team. You will work closely with advisers to develop and recommend financial plans that meet client needs.

Key responsibilities

• Handle client requests professionally, ensuring a positive experience.
• Perform complex client‑specific analysis such as CGT, IHT, pension tapered annual allowance, and funding assessments using specialised software.
• Draft suitability reports and conduct technical research for new business, including offshore/onshore bond tax calculations and various investment structures.
• Use technical software to compare contracts, review benefits, and model the impact of changes.
• Maintain compliance with FCA regulations, ensuring client fees and company records are accurate.
• Keep the back‑office system up‑to‑date with ongoing actions and workflow.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of paraplanning experience in financial services.
• Level 4 DipPFS qualification or equivalent, with ambition to achieve chartered status.
• Strong organisational ability, capable of working under pressure and adapting to changing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative mindset with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
