Paraplanner or Senior Paraplanner – Edinburgh

About the role

Our rapidly expanding national financial planning firm is creating two growth positions in its Edinburgh office – a Paraplanner and a Senior Paraplanner. These roles are part of a strategic expansion, not replacements, and offer clear pathways to Chartered status, leadership, or a Financial Planner career.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare suitability reports for client portfolios.
• Conduct technical research to support financial advice.
• Collaborate closely with Financial Planners to deliver high‑quality recommendations.
• For the Senior role: act as a technical mentor, guide colleagues on complex cases, and share expertise while remaining hands‑on.

Required profile

• Paraplanner: around 12 months of paraplanning experience; working towards or holding a Level 4 Diploma.
• Senior Paraplanner: proven technical expertise, ability to coach peers, and a desire to stay technically engaged (no line‑management duties).

Required skills

• Financial planning knowledge.
• Suitability report preparation.
• Technical research and analysis.

What we offer

• Salary up to £50,000 per year plus an annual discretionary bonus.
• 35‑hour working week, flexible and hybrid arrangements (3 days office, optional 1‑2 days).
