Paraplanner Trainee Adviser – Hybrid (Buxton)

About the role

This hybrid position with an independent financial advice firm in Buxton bridges high‑level paraplanning and face‑to‑face client advising. It offers a fully funded pathway to become a qualified Financial Adviser, with client leads supplied from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Write comprehensive, compliant suitability reports and conduct fund research.
• Shadow senior advisers, attend client meetings and gradually take ownership of incoming leads and existing client reviews.
• Provide holistic financial planning across pensions, investments and protection while progressing toward CAS qualification.
• Maintain high ethical standards, work within the firm’s compliance framework and use study support to advance qualifications.

Required profile

• Strong background in an IFA environment as a Paraplanner or senior administrator, with experience drafting complex suitability reports.
• Ideally holding or close to completing a Level 4 Diploma (DipPFS / CII / CISI).
• Resident within a commutable distance of Buxton.
• Excellent communication, high emotional intelligence and a genuine drive for a long‑term advisory career.

• Base salary £38k‑£42k, rising to £45k after achieving full CAS status.
