Part Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) – Bedford

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a multiple‑award‑winning, family‑run accountancy practice in Bedford. The firm is undergoing transformational change after a recent acquisition, offering a supportive environment with structured training and a fully funded study support package.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end statutory accounts, VAT returns, bookkeeping and tax computations for a diverse client portfolio.
• Assist clients with ad‑hoc projects, providing guidance and support as required.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems, processes and client service delivery.
• Monitor and achieve chargeability, recovery and profitability targets.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified and actively studying ACA, ACCA or AAT Level 4 qualified.
• Previous experience in an accountancy practice.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or IRIS.
• High attention to detail and ability to multi‑task.
