Part Time Bookkeeper (Temporary Maternity Cover)

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to provide a six‑month maternity cover for a well‑established business in Harrow. The role is part‑time, Monday to Thursday from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, starting in late July 2026, with a rate of £22‑£25 per hour.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain sales and purchase ledgers and process invoices and payments.
- Perform bank reconciliations and support credit control activities.
- Prepare VAT returns and assist with month‑end procedures.
- Execute intercompany reconciliations and postings.
- Keep accurate financial records using Sage 50.
Required profile
- Proven experience in a bookkeeping role.
- Strong working knowledge of Sage 50.
- Previous intercompany accounting experience.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Good communication skills.
