Part-Time Care & Support Worker, Cardiff

About the role

Airmid Staffing is recruiting experienced Care & Support Workers for the Cardiff area to support a 10-year-old male with ASD and learning disabilities to engage in daily play activities and give his parents respite. The work is described as person-centred, with 4-hour shifts, 7 days a week, and part-time availability on weekdays and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Support clients with outdoor activities such as walking and other activities
• Build positive, trusting relationships
• Help develop routines and encourage independence
• Support clients in accessing their community and social activities
• Help people try new experiences and enjoy the things they love

Required profile

• Experience supporting people with autism or learning disabilities
• Caring, patient and approachable, able to get out and about with clients
• Reliable, dependable and able to work as part of a team
• Driver's licence would be advantageous

What we offer

• Pay of 16.50 pounds per hour plus accrued holiday pay (up to 28 days per year, including bank holidays)
