Part-Time Year 4 Teaching Assistant

About the role
This part‑time position supports a Year 4 class in a primary school in Lancaster. Working two days a week, you will help the class teacher deliver lessons and create a positive learning environment for pupils.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher with daily classroom activities.
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning.
- Support pupils during lessons, transitions and other school routines.
- Help prepare and organise learning resources.
- Contribute to a safe and engaging classroom atmosphere.
Required profile
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
- Professional references and, if applicable, overseas police clearance.
- CV covering the last ten years of employment, with explanations for any gaps.
- Legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Willingness to attend a registration interview.
Required skills
What we offer
- Part‑time contract (Thursday and Friday, 8:45 am – 3:15 pm).
- £15 per hour.
- Start date in September.
- Experience in a primary‑school setting.
